Its never too late for a summary of 2010 right?
*EDIT

2010

1) Left MES - Honestly I have had so much feelings for MES for the 2 years. Because of MES, I had been mad busy during the most critical periods (highly due to high procrastination rates), because of MES I had to lug 20kg worth of things alone on a bus from Bedok all the way back home, because of MES I had to go without sleep on some nights, because of MES life in school was worth it, life in school was fun. Yeah, I must say MES has been the backbone of my personal development and social life in NP. And taking off from MES was indeed a tough decision, but I guess it was time to nurture the young ones.

2) Celebrated my last birthday with a "1" in front of my age. Yeah, I'm feeling angsty about turning 20. Its time to grow up.

3) California Challenge - I would say California Challenge was the peak of this year, and my life till now. Up till today, everyday I'll spend some time reminiscing those days the 26 of us spent in California. Words can't describe everything, but those days we spent staying up late to type the essays, being awaken up at 3am to continue with the essays but end up blabbering some nonsense and going back to sleep, and then jumping up at 6am and go "OH SHIT", and the R&R part of the trip, it feels like a fantasy now.

4) ASEAN Amazing Youth Explorace - Had a 7 day tourism trip to Malaysia. Made great friends, and I'm glad I made initiatives to make new friends, something I regretted not doing during APEC (I was hibernating during APEC)

5) Vietnam Overseas Internship - The shift to maturity and independence. Yeah, ever since I came here, I've been romping the town alone (Ok, not all the time - I'm not so emo major), took time off to just sit in coffee shop for some time alone (something I longed to have in Singapore), and I'm proud to say, my skin have grown slightly thicker and yes I'm definitely much more independent now.

2011

Resolutions don't work for me because I'm always over-ambitious with the resolutions. So this year I'm keeping it simple, just 3.

1) Spend more time with family & friends. For the past 3 years, I had trouble juggling school, CCA, commitments, family and friends, and obviously I didn't prioritise family or friends. So this year, I shall take a step back and spend more time with my loved ones. To all my dear friends, I'm sorry and I promise to make it up! You all know I heart you all much much.

2) Weekly voluntary works. Anyone else interested?

3) Pick up something new. I haven't decided what yet, but I will soon!

My resolution finally seems feasible for the first time, Hallelujah!

Everything for year 2011 seems pretty misty and hazy for me now, I guess many things I have to take it as it comes, and there are so many things which I can't predict right now. Feeling kind of angsty emo depressed over my future directions but I guess everything will work out in the end, I hope. Whatever it is, to everyone, have a great 2011!

Will be back in Singapore in 3 weeks. ♥ ♥ ♥ !!

A short post on some of the awesome people I've met here. Not exhaustive. :)

Construction Dept peopleeee, they're always the ones making me drink and Karaoke, but they're just so good company to be with. But as usual, construction means 99% guys.

Susan and her friend I forgot what name. But Susan has been taking care of me so well! :)

Susan's friend and meeeee.

My sole group of friends that are around my age. And even so, I'm still the youngest.

CSD friendssss, there are many many more.

CSD Charity Fun Fair Booth! With awesome CSD colleagues.

Me, Bin & Peter. They're both Koreans and therefore making me the blackie there. :(

Last but not leastttttt, the trio that just visited!
Stan, Sam, Clarke, Meeeee!

I'M BACK~! I know I've been missing out on posting here. Its just, I'm so busy.... (Yaya, excuses again for the big procrastinator) Anyway, I'm just going to upload some photos to keep all of you busy, while I scoot away. :D And come back again, soon. I hope.

Meal with the disability school, its such a pity that they're deaf & mute, some of them are so good-looking. Always makes me feel like I should treasure what I'm given. I love helping the needy. :)

GUESS WHAT? 4 EGGS. And whats so special? SEE PEEKTURE BELOW! :D

YES~ YOU'VE GOT IT! BALUTTTT! See the head and eyes and major veins all about and the yellow one is the yolk of course, it was approximately 16 days old?

Ok, I know, Jiayi always eats disgusting stuffs, but well, it was yummy. HAHA. And don't say I'm evil because hey you there, don't you eat chicken, pork and all too? Heeeee.

One of my first few home-cooked meals. The prawn was naiseeee. :D

Beef Bolognese. But the beef was sour, yucks. Vietnam minced beef. I had a hard time trying to swallow that down man.

Something I came up with whatever I had to clear from the fridge.

Pretty flowers! I like. And the best thing is flowers are cheap here! So I've been decorating my home with flowers! :D

My favourite to date. Bun thit nuong. YUM.

Had Stan, Clarke and Samuel in town last Sunday to Tuesday, and honestly after they left, I felt like going back to Singapore for the FIRST TIME ever since I came here. I miss having Singaporean friends around, where you can just use your chapalang English Chinese Hokkien Malay other nonsense languages and they'll still understand. SIGHHHS. Buttttt, I'm getting over it already, thank goodness.

Many more awesome stuffs but I guess lunch break is over and I have to go.... :D WILL BE BACK.

Today's Thursday and I hope Bin will be free for dinner tonighttttt, otherwise I'll be eating all the nonsense at home and feeling oh-so-lonely, thanks to the empty space left by the above 3. HAHAHA.

I love alone time. I'm such a loner. :)

Huh? Road lanes? What road lanes?

Yeah, okay. My knees are still wobbling from my trip from home to office/ orientation at park. Traffic here is hell. Even seating in the car and getting chauffeured scares me. :O I've already seen 2 or 3 road accidents in my 2( or 3) days here. And its just so congested and chaotic all the time. Not to say, I have yet to try crossing the road here on my own.

ANYWAYYYY!

XIN CHAO FROM VIETNAM FELLOW EARTHLINGS! :)

I know I have not been updating my blog as I was supposed to, I was too exhausted (actually I think I was just lazy, but hoh wells!) to update this space here. But anyways, here I am typing this because I'm waiting for my boss to come in and bring me out to the park to play! :O Okay, kidding, if only life was that good. Sighs.

Anyhows, I've been reading company materials, and going through showrooms and presentations to get to know more about the company since yesterday. Sinking into a wee bit of boredom~ Looking forward to the start of my work proper next week though!

ON A SIDE NOTEEEEEEE!

I'm loving it here so much cos everyone is just so nice friendly helpful kind you name it they've got it. Its like how is it even possible that they can be so nice!! Awesome people!! :D I think because of them I'll enjoy my stay here so much! :P

I'm trying to learn some vietnamese now and its so difficult with all that different tone and fluid sounds. Gosh, I wonder if I'll even learn it at the end of the day. But I'll try to get the locals to teach me something! :D

Oh yes, and lunch today at the canteen was so awesome that I had to get second servings. It was chicken rice + 'vegetable salad', the vegetable thing was so awesome!!

And something very sad is that they don't use "J" in Vietnamese! So they can't really pronounce my name well, like "zai yi". And I'm having trouble remembering names anyway because theres just too many of them! :O

I'll update more when time comes. And when I blog from home where I can UPLOAD pictures. Stay tuned. :)

♥ from Vietnam,

Jiayi

Okay, a little update on attachment.
Its confirmed. I'm not going to Shanghai.
Yeah thats right. What a hassle.
And I'm desperately trying to find other attachment avenues.
Vexing over attachment and cramping to study for exams.
What a big headache.

By the way folks, I am currently quite inactive on Windows Live Messenger. Its been a gazillion years since I last signed in. Or maybe not. Whatever it is, you get my point - you can't get me through Windows Live. So do add me on Skype or Facebook me. And erm, SMS-es are not quite productive either. Call if you have to.
(Sorry for the inconveniences man folks, I'll make it up to you by replying you on Skype & Facebook, and answering your calls, HAHAHA :D I'm forgiven right?)

Attachment issues, iPod crashed, laptop crashed, desktop down.
How much better can life go?
Sighs.
